When MAIKO NAGAYAMA was in junior high school, she was inspired by these twin sisters. They were not always happy being compared to each other, yet despite this they remained best friends and have never been separated. It is fate that they should remain best friends and remain loyal to each other. This ring represents the longing for companionship that everyone has, thus can be worn by anyone. The most unique and innovative part of this design is that you will be able to see through two white sapphires inside of the hand-carved citrine symbolising the image of identical twins. The smooth honey-like citirne projects white sapphires, a mysterious juxtaposition of the sharp and the mellow. The combination of unique form, choice of materials, and concept craftsmanship sets this design apart from all others. The naturally transparent non-heat treated citrine has been carved and polished both inside and outside, and set on 18ct rose gold. Another piece of gold set with blue sapphires secures the citrine from the top- which was laser welded afterwards. The combination of handmade craftsmanship with the latest technology makes this ring innovative.
